DA rapid analyzer probes can take clean, preparation-free samples from the liquid steel by using its inert atmosphere-purging technology. After taking a  sample out of the used probe an operator needs to declip it by using an external declipping tool. Afterwards the operator places the sample in the DA rapid analyzer and an automatic measurement sequence begins. During this automatic measurement sequence the filling rate and quality of the sample will be checked, two and if needed a third spark are taken. This sparking emits light that is characteristic of the samples atomic composition, which the build-in spectrometer will analyse. The DA rapid analyzerwill send data on the liquid steel composition directly to the steel plants control room.
